190. Oooh it's warm...

Just tried to sit in the garden and do a bit of weeding, but it's too warm, muggy in fact, close, sticky...
We need a thunder storm! Love a good storm.

Anthony's gone out to see one of his friends and I am sat with the back door open and enjoying a quiet evening. Our street is quiet most of the time. You can hear lots of birds singing and there's a lovely view of Otley and Yeadon from our back garden. We've noticed  (over the past few days) that there's a new bird that sits somewhere we can't see and makes a really annoying high pitched squark/squeak. We try to ignore it but end up giggling when one of us notices when the other didn't. It visited the other day when my mum and dad were here. I said, 'It's here AGAIN!' Mum was like, 'What is?' Anthony: 'That bloody bird! So annoying!'
I began to explain to Mum but before I did, she said, 'That's a guinea pig!!!' She was right, it's further down the street! No wonder 'the bird was in the same place where we couldn't see' !!!!!!!!
HAHA!
How stupid did we feel! For a good week we'd been talking about a bird and saying how annoying it was. All along it was a guinea pig. Dur. Funnily enough now we know it's a guinea pig, it really does sound like one. Odd. Slightly daft!
Silly us.

Katy and Millie came over yesterday. Was so lovely to see them. Millie is so clever and growing up so fast. She can spell words from her shape book!! Wow. :D
We spent some time inside and later sat in the garden as Millie played blowing bubbles and then wanted a bowl of water to do some 'washing up'. I got random small pots and containers from the drawer and a little sieve and some rather bubbly water. She was happy!
The three of us were sat in the garden talking. A funny moment happened mid conversation-- Anthony's car cleaning cloth abruptly blew off the washing line and landed half slapped on his head, half covering his face, like Katy said, his face was a picture! - as he stopped mid chat and just laughed and stared at me and Katy laughing our heads off. Mille turned round and joined in laughing. Then pointed at Ziggy and said, 'Ziggy!!! LAUGH! Laugh Ziggy!' This made us laugh even more and then we just kept saying it. Great moment. Shame cats can't laugh isn't it. What a let down!
